A city as busy as Indianapolis will always require you to work and get busy to keep up with its growth. Yet because of this wake up-work-sleep routine, you tend to forget about your health. We want to remind you that your body won’t catch up for so long. Eventually your joints and muscles will complain and malfunction. Your body will be prone to illness and aches caused by prolonged neglect of your health. And poof! Your next stop is not the office but a hospital bed.

You may try out over-the-counter medicines or recommended supplements to keep yourself going, but did you know that you have a more effective and cheaper way to keep your body in good shape. It’s massage! You won’t have to doubt on its effectiveness as massage is approximately a five thousand year-old practice! It roots all the way back to India, Egypt and China and now a widely-known practice for holistic healing in different parts of the world. Massage is commended for its relaxing and rejuvenating effects to the body and its various benefits for a person’s physical, emotional and mental state.

Swedish Massage

Description: C:\Users\Daniel\Desktop\51085044[1].jpg

Swedish massage uses a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. This form of massage was created at the turn of the century by Henry Peter Ling in Sweden. It involves the use of kneading, stroking, friction, tapping, and vibration and may provide relief from stiffness, numbness, pain, constipation, and other health problems. The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. Other possible benefits include stimulation of circulation, an increase in muscle tone, and a balance of the musculo-skeletal systems. Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. Swedish Massage is fantastic to relieve stress from work or life. If you have trouble sleeping, or just want to relax. Chinese Swedish Massage differs is that the girls meld it with traditional Chinese teachings following your body's meridians or energy pathways and utilizing acupressure points which increases the effectiveness of the standard Swedish Massage. If you are sore and want deeper work and can tolerate more pressure, even momentary discomfort, to get relief from muscle pain, it's better to book a deep tissue massage.

Deep Tissue Massage

Description: C:\Users\Daniel\Desktop\Shiatsu-Wellness-Asian-Massage-Acupuncture_26552191_346509_image[1].jpgDeep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots (also known as "adhesions.") Deep tissue is great if you have any muscle soreness or knots. Chinese Deep Tissue differs because the therapists understand acupressure points and utilize them during the massage increasing the effectiveness of the massage. They also understand your body's natural energy flow and can feel problems that other may not find.

Foot Massage

Description: http://www.zspaonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/footmassage1.jpgThe practitioners at Foot Massage draw upon ancient Chinese techniques to relieve stiffness and pain in the back, neck, and shoulders. While guests are reclining in cushy treatment chairs, the therapists knead the body with herbs and oils, or concentrate on the feet with the precise points of reflexology. They also turn to more modern modalities, including deep-tissue, Swedish, and holographic employees, to help enhance relaxation and improve circulation.

“I would like to praise Eva for all the help she has given me. To me she is better than a doctor. I have suffered with back and leg pain for 22 years. I have been to several doctors, all telling me I have fibromyalgia, a painful muscle disease. I have been on pain medication, muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatory medications for several years now. The muscles in my back and neck get so tight I want to scream. The medicine helps, but it never takes the problem away. A friend suggested that I do a massage therapy session with Eva. He said the deep tissue massage was out of this world! I have been so desperate at times for help I decided to give it a try. I could not believe the way I felt when I left my appointment! She has a gift of special techniques to loosen the muscles and remove the knots from my back. I was totally amazed at how she worked the knots out of my back. Like I said, I have been in pain for 22 years, and she has helped me have a pain free life now! Fibromyalgia does not go away, but seeing Eva once a month will keep my muscles loose and pain free. If you have problems similar to mine, give Eva a try. You too will be amazed at what she can do for you!”
